[...] Hideo once again snoops around the Wii, as well as developers working on the Wii. I caught him slinking around Nintendo’s party at E3, and now he’s hanging out with the Monster Hunter 3 team. Will this guy ever give the Wii any love?! Link [...]

One of the reasons Kojima is making Peace Walker on the PSP, is because of the huge success of the Monster Hunter series in Japan.

Kojima said that his son has played monster Hunter on the psp a lot and his son didn't like the MGS series until they have released Portable ops.

He said that the "the use of the WiFi, the ability to play anywhere, bring it to school, etc. So it seems like the middle school kids are really, really having fun with the PSP. It might not be the Metal Gear series, but I would like to consider this audience because it's very important and new".

One of the reasons Kojima is doing the 4 co-op in Peace Walker because he saw how gamers get addicted to the co-op in Monster Hunter for the PSP.

I hope that Kojima was explaining to Tsujimoto how much potential the PS3 really had, and how it could only truly be utilised through making an exclusive game. It's entirely possible; after all, didn't Kojima say that he believed that Rising wasn't the true sequel to MGS IV, and that Peacewalker was in fact his next project. I think Kojima knows that to truly pull of an ambitious project, you have to work extensively with a single platform, and if he conveyed that fully to Tsujimoto, maybe we'll see an exclusive version of Monster Hunter 3 coming to the PS3. To me, it just makes much more sense than having it on the Wii - the PS3 would be able to handle the beautiful, awe-inspiring visuals that Monster Hunter really deserves, and let's face it, although it doesn't necessarily have all the community features XBL has, the PS3 certainly is more popular in Japan, where Monster Hunter's key market is. What do you think, Bawaleez?
