Did you think that Ninja Gaiden2 and Tales of Vesperia are heading to the PS3 because they sold well on the Xbox360? No, it’s because they didn’t perform that well in the market. Tales of Vesperia sold well in Japan only and the original Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox sold over 3 million, so the expectation was higher for the sequel.

“Tecmo and Microsoft’s blood-drenched Xbox 360 exclusive hits platinum milestone in two-and-a-half months; roughly 40 percent of sales in US.” – Gamespot.

It was popular enough to gain a PS3 deluxe version with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. I don’t understand how a game that’s supposedly not well received gets a port to the competitor’s console with exclusive content if it’s not sought after. The game was obviously well rated by critics and sold well on the 360, enough so that it warranted a port with more content to another console!

Tales of Vesperia obviously had the same success in Japan and in this country as well to warrant a port, and it’s just not a port they’re adding on even more content for the PS3 version. They wouldn’t be doing this if it were a commercial flop. Also Tales of Vesperia is regarded as one of the best 360 RPGs amongst fans and critics alike.

Just admit it, you made a stupid top 5 list that called two games exclusives that are in fact NOT exclusive to the 360. Sure Lost Odyssey and Banjo Kazooie may not have done that well in sales, but the rest were well received. You shouldn’t be putting words into the consumers mouth by saying that they under appreciated games that sold well above your average expectations of video games.

Sometimes, critics praise a game by giving it high scores, but when things come to sales, the game fails to sell good amount of copies, why? Because gamers were ignoring that game. Okami for an example, the game gotten very high scores, but it did poorly regarding sales.

So, my article is mentioning games that were either not praised enough by the critics or did poorly regarding sales.

Do your research before you post or at least change your headline. Under sold and under appreciated maybe, exclusive? No.

Tales of Vesperia and Ninja Gaiden2 are still exclusives to this moment and both of these games have been exclusives for more than one year.
