Posted by Ahmad Dajani On October - 16 - 2009

PS3 owners has been enjoying a lot of good exclusives this year, from the technically impressive Killzone 2 to the jaw dropping Uncharted 2. But to tell you the truth, 2010 is looking to be even more exciting for PS3 owners.

All of the games in this list are system sellers that will definitely help Sony in selling more consoles and maybe closing the sales gap between the PS3 and the Xbox 360. Here, we present to you our 5 most anticipated PS3 exclusives that will come in 2010:

5. MAG:

MAG is an upcoming MMO shooter for the PlayStation 3 in development by Zipper Interactive. The game will support online battles with up to 256 players, with users divided into 8-player squads, with 4 squads forming a platoon, and 4 platoons forming a company. Each squad will be led by a player who has advanced through the game’s ranking system.

Players will be able to customize the face, voice, and armor of their characters, as well as what weapons and kit they carry into battle. If the game servers managed to be stable during gameplay, MAG will take FPS multiplayer to the next level.

4. Heavy Rain:

Heavy Rain is an upcoming PlayStation 3 videogame being developed by French studio, Quantic Dream. The game is being directed by Quantic Dream’s founder and CEO David Cage, who also wrote and directed the studio’s two previous games, Omikron: The Nomad Soul and Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy).

Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) was one of my most favorites games from last generation, and Heavy Rain looks to be the most ambitious game from David Cage. David Cage has promised a story that’s unique and different from what we have used to see in videogames. In an interview with Dutch magazine in 2008, the veteran developer said ” Heavy Rain is about normal people who have landed in extraordinary situations. I wanted a much more personal story. The first thing that came to my mind, as a father of two little boys, was that the main theme should simply be a father’s love for his son. This is not a game about saving the princess or the world. Its purely about a father’s love”.

Graphically, the game looks superb with some of the best character models in the business. But what is teasing me the most to play this game is the storyline narrative.

3. The Last Guardian:

The Last Guardian is an upcoming videogame developed by Team Ico, the developers behind two of the most creative games ever made, Ico and Shadow of The Colossus.

the game follows the story of a boy and a giant feathered creature, which will revolve around the developing friendship between them. The creation of The Last Guardian was partially based on the interaction between the player and the horse Agro in Shadow of the Colossus. Ueda desired to make this interaction and relation more of the central concept in The Last Guardian.

The game will contain epic soundtrack, action adventure and puzzle elements, extraordinary world, and an experience like no other.

2. Gran Turismo 5:

GT 5 is to be the fifth edition of the highly acclaimed Gran Turismo racing video game series, scheduled for release in March 2010. The game is set to feature over 950 cars and 20 track locations, with variations bringing the number of unique circuits to 70. Also, GT5 will be the first game in the franchise’s history to include both mechanical and external damage modeling, with force and speed of impact directly influencing the damage applied to the vehicle, affecting both performance and body parts of the car.

The game was first revealed at E3 2006, and since that time, Polyphony Digital the developers of the game has been working hard to make the game as perfect as possible. This game will sell millions of copies and it will help boosting the sales of the PS3 in a monstrous way.

1. God of War 3:

God of War III is a forthcoming installment in the God of War series. If you still hadn’t played the previous games in the series, shame on you. If you are considering yourself a gamer, then you must check them out. Especially after Sony has announced the upcoming release of the God of War Collection Pack, which contains the first two games in the series packed into one blue-Ray disc.

The game will be the end of the God of War trilogy. So for anybody who wants to see how this epic saga will ends, he must play this game. Gameplay looks so much similar to what we have seen from the series, but the developers of the game has been promising a couple of new twists regarding the gameplay.

Will Kratos get his revenge? Who will win the war, the Gods of Olympus or the Titans? We will find answers to these questions when the game launch in March, 2010.
