Forza 3 sells over 1 million

According to VGchartz, Turn 10 latest driving sim, Forza 3 has sold over 1 million copies since it was released on October 27th, 2009. The game has managed to shift 214,713 copies in the week ending 14th November, making a total of 1,114,597 copies sold until now.
October NPD sales says that Forza 3 has sold 175.000 copies. But since the game was released at the end of October, I think that NPD has covered only the first four days of the game sales. Anyway, if you are a fan of driving games, do yourself a favor by getting this game, you will not be disappointed.

I wonder how many copies GT 5 will shift in the same time frame. But there is no doubt that GT 5 will sell much better than Forza 3, even if it get lower scores.

Of course if your a PS3 owner, but not a 360 one then buy it anyway and give it to someone who is a 360 owner. If you’re not feeling that charitable wait for GT5 and buy that game instead in March 2010.

LOL…..1 million??? A game that’s supposed to rival Gran Turismo has sold 1 million??? Gran Turismo 4 sold like 15 million…….so i think Forza has some catching up to do…..ROFL!
When Gran Turismo 5 launches it’ll probably have sold double Forza’s numbers on pre – orders alone.

also flopza3 didnt ship 212k 1st week
it sold way less . since it sold just 80k in UK and <80k in the rest of europe
in reality flopza 3 didnt even sell 150k 1st week in europe

to what fifty said…i own a ps3 and a xbox 360 and i love my 360 a lot more..bought a ps3 for blue ray..and some games..and uncharted 2 is awesome game….so what if they didn’t sell 2 million copies….it blows what ever game Microsoft has in the water for this holiday season..the closest is ODST….and ODST isn’t even close to uncharted 2 game play wise…graphically wise also…uncharted 2 should be Game if the year…and i do play my xbox 360 way more then my ps3…so in reality I am more likely a xbox fanboy..then ps3 fanboy

The GT franchise has sold 53 million units so far. Halo was supposed to beat it – the Halo franchise has only sold 25 million. LOL – mega – flop! Then Gears Of Bore was supposed to rip it to shreds…….it only sold 9.5 million. Even bigger flop. Then Forza was supposed to outpace it…..it only sold 6 million……….STUPENDOUS flop. Then 360 fanboys started sucking Fable balls…….Fable only sold about 7 million – not even close.
Every major 360 exclusive franchise has tried desperately but failed dramatically to beat GT in sales……then again, if you 360 retards actually did some research on the gaming industry you would have already known that and you wouldn’t have just made such an ass out of yourself.

David MAcphail The GT series was out since the ps1 was out. And the games like halo or even gears beeen out since the xbox or the 360 was out. I’m not going to sit here and say GT5 sucks, because i know it won’t, there’s way too much hype and i actually want one. GT4 sold so many copies because there are 100 plus millions copies of ps2’s in peoples homes. Lets do some math. GT4 according to VGchartz has sold just over 10 million copies. so 10 million divided by 100 million is 0.10 which is 10%. and halo 3 has sold 10 million copies and there is 33 millions xbox’s out. 10 million divided by 33 million is 0.30. There fore 30% of people who own a xbox have halo 3 that’s pretty good numbers. So i dunno why your bashing every xbox owner so hard over a game FORZA is a great game, and GT5 willl be a great game you should get both. There’s no need for the bashing events

A true gamer would say that it a great thing that Forza sold over a million copies. Only a buster try to take that away by saying another game will sell better. I would like all games to sell well which in turn the money they make will help them make that next blockbuster game. And to David Macphail, To compare GT series to Halo and Gears or Fable is stupid. That like comparing a Big Mac to a Whopper. And to call their sells a flop is the comments made by someone stupid. It seems that with the 360 doing so well it has made people take this so personal. I know you love your PS3 or 360 but damn this is getting nuts.

In fact when compared to GT numbers….. these numbers are indeed a flop….. So based on your reasoning…… since the Halo series is a flop at 25 Million copies, and Gears is another flop at 9.5 Million….. I suppose that KillZone franchise is an insult for any Sony Fanboy for its 3 Million copies sold (especially when announced as a Halo Killer), and Uncharted franchise is nothing but a joke for selling 4 Million copies! Of course, we could also talk about Resistance franchise, and Little big Planet……Smart thinking isn’t it????
Just one question: what are you trying to prove by throwing GT sales…… what sales have to do with quality???? Depending on whether Forza 3 sells 1, 2 or 100 millions…. will it change the quality of the game??? Will gaming sites change their reviewing scores depending on that??? As I already told you before….. GT4 sold far better than Forza 1…… despite the latter receiving better critics…… so you should know by now that quality and commercial success do not necessarily go alongside!
So if you tend to get more pleasure out of your game by knowing that more people purchased it….. feel free to do so…… However you’ll be told again….. you Mac fail!

All the PS3 turdboys are “laughing” at Forza 3 sales because they can’t argue with the fact every review stated it’s the BEST driving simulation ever. But if you look down the charts, you will notice that soon Forza 3 will surpass Uncharted 2 in sales…

Time for 360 children to learn some basic math – there have been 4 major entires in the GT franchise and combined they have sold 50 million, if you add on GT5: Prologue that’s 53 million from 5 games. How many Halo games have there been? That’s right – 5, same amount yet it has only sold 25 million copies, not even half. Why??? Because you 360 retards don’t buy games you only talk about them on message boards to tell everyone else how great they are without even believing it yourself.
Also, for the genius that wanted to talk about QUALITY (Reviews) – Uncharted 2 has recieved better reviews than ANY 360 exclusive game…….so it looks like the Playstation games are better quality AND better – bought.
Finally – Forza 3 is not even close to being the best driving sim of this gen…..Colin Mcrae: DIRT 2 is miles better.

Can you please tell me about a PlayStation game that has sold more than GT series in the same amount of entries?????? So I guess that makes GT franchise the best console game franchise ever …….right? That’s why Halo 3 sales were so disappointing (10 Million) especially when compared to KillZone 2 sales (2 Million) and that’s also why GoW sales were so ridiculous (5.9 Million) compared to Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune (2.7Million), and GoW2 were even more disappointing (5.3 Million) when compared to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (1.6 Million)…… hummmmm what a clever boy!!:P

Indeed it did….. and that’s simply because it’s an outstanding game…. But does that turn Forza 3 into some crap??? As far as I’m concerned, it didn’t affect Forza 3 meta score (9.2/10)….. Just a final question: GT franchise has sold more than 50 Million copies indeed….. I’ll be the first one to say that it is in fact MORE THAN IMPRESSIVE!!! But, for how long did the gamers that purchased those copies, played the game?? I remember playing GT1 and GT2 during the whole PS1 life cycle…. These games stood head and shoulders above the competition…. But ironically, I don’t remember playing my copy of GT4 for more than 6 month….. (simply got bored of doing time trials and playing on split screens….. that’s something I had been doing for 5 years with GT1 and 2…. it was time for some online action… an innovation at the time I would have hoped that the King Of Driving Simulators would offer…). So despite GT4 selling way more copies than Forza 1….. which game do you think received a longer community support??? Forza online gamers battling each other….. or GT4 solo gamers on time trials??? (in 2006 for example…. Forza 1 was still one of the most played games over the Live….. by that time though…. how many PS2 owners were still playing their copy of GT4??)
You see…… SALES ARE NOT THE ONLY FACTOR TO BE CONSIDERED……
