AfterBurner Climax is coming to home consoles, possibly only for PSN
According to Australian and Korean classification board ratings, AfterBurner Climax the follow up to the popular arcade and console AfterBurner games is coming to home consoles. The Australian rating listed the game as a “multiplatform” game, while the Korean one was submitted by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game will be a digital dowload game, but we have to wait for an official press release from Sega to know for which network the game will be heading for.
The original AfterBurner was ported to consoles and was featured in Yu Suzuki epic, Shenmue 2. AfterBurner Climax was released in 2006 in the arcades. The game introduced two new flyable aircraft to the series: the F/A-18E Super Hornet and F-15E Strike Eagle. The iconic F-14 Tomcat from previous games has been replaced with the F-14D Super Tomcat. The game was licensed from and was developed with assistance from Boeing and Northrop Grumman.
