Halo Legends dated, coming on DVDs and Blu-rays
If you’re a fan of the Halo series, you must be already informed about what exactly is Halo Legends. But for everyone else, Halo Legends is a collection of seven animated short stories relating to the Halo universe. The animation was created by five Japanese production houses: Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G., Studio 4°C, and Toei Animation.
Halo Legends is due to be released in the US on February 9, followed by the UK on February 15 in three different forms: a single DVD for $19.98, the two-disk special edition for $29.98, and the Blu-Ray version for $34.99. The two disk version and the Blu-Ray version do have extra content not found in the single DVD version. What are the extras? Take a look:
- The Making of Halo Legends: An introduction to Halo Legends followed by a making-of segment for each episode.
- Halo: Gaming Evolved: Explaining the Halo phenomenon from its inception as an Xbox video game to a present day entertainment franchise.
- Audio Commentary with directors Frank O’Connor and Joseph Chou.
- Widescreen (1.78:1).
- Exclusive for the Blu-Ray version: An overview of the Halo Universe called ‘Halo: The Story so Far’.
Three versions with different prices is a good thing. But if you are a big fan, you must get the definitive version, the Blu-Ray one.
