The developers of the game (CD Projekt RED) are hard at work to provide fans of the original game and RPG fans in general a more deeper and refined experience in the sequel to the highly acclaimed RPG The Witcher. CD Projekt has released a dev diary which shows the developers of the game talking about the new engine that will run the sequel with some never seen before scenes from the game and they also discussed the enhancements The Witcher 2 will have over its predecessor.
 

One of the developers stated that the engine they created for The Witcher 2 “goes beyond any engine thus far created for an RPG” and “this (The Witcher 2) will be the best looking RPG you have ever seen.” The game looks impressive at this point and it seems that the developers are aiming to deliver the definitive RPG experience in The Witcher 2.
 

CD Projekt has also stated that a console version is very possible, as they can port the game to other platforms easily thanks for the new engine. But for now they are focusing on the PC version of the game. The Witcher 2 is expected to be released in Q1 2011 for PC. Check out the full dev diary video below:
