10 hours in Skyrim: Will the game live up to the hype?
Fans of RPGs and the Elder Scroll series are eagerly waiting to know if Skyrim will live up to mammoth hype. I have been playing the game for the last two days spending over 10 hours exploring the world of Skyrim, killing bandits and mythical creatures, completing quests and revealing the game’s secrets. So as a fan of RPGs and the Elder Scrolls series, I have been asking myself one question during my time with the game: Is Skyrim as good as we want it to be?
The game begins with a scripted scene showing the player on the back of a horse carriage with a bunch of NPCs on their way to execution. Unexpected thing happens during the execution scene. From here, your first quest is to escape and run for your life. The first quest in the game act as a tutorial stage for the game. It’s like the escape the prison quest in Oblivion. The first half an hour of the game might give players a bad impression about the game for a couple of reasons. The animation during the scripted scene is stiff and I can’t say that I liked the art direction or the visuals. But wait, do you remember when you escaped the first dungeon in Oblivion and saw the beautiful world of Tamriel for the first time? Bethesda did it again with Skyrim.
The first time you see the world of Skyrim you will be amazed by how much Bethesda has improved the visuals over its predecessor. Technically, the game doesn’t rival Crysis or the best looking games of this generation. But where the game truly shine is artistically. The art direction of the game is really leaps and bounds over Oblivion. Sometimes you are going to feel that you are in the hit TV series Game of Thrones. The world of Skyrim is really magical.
Looking at the beautiful skybox at night while listening to the great orchestral soundtrack of the game is one of the magical moments in gaming. The mixture of great art direction and amazing soundtrack makes Skyrim world one of the most beautiful and atmospheric worlds in gaming.
One of the weakest parts of oblivion is/was the combat. So everyone is expecting to see improvements in the combat system in Skyrim. During the first two hours I tried to use a sword and shield and play like a warrior, but I found that the lack of animation reaction to my hits makes the combat a little dull. Then, I tried magic in one hand and a melee weapon in the other and suddenly the combat became very enjoyable. I hit the enemy with magic until his health become low, then I finish him off with a melee attack. Maybe because I was expecting the melee combat to be as good as Dark Souls or maybe the lack of animation reaction to my hits is the issue. But anyway, I found that Skyrim is much enjoyable if you use magic.
I would say that the combat in Skyrim is improved over Oblivion especially if you consider the diversity Bethesda gave to the player to tackle enemies. You can dual wield melee weapons, melee weapon on one hand and magic on the other or you can dual wield magic in both hands. But I’m a bit disappointed that if you are going to play purely melee you are not going to have as much fun as using magic.
While the animation isn’t top notch and melee combat isn’t perfect, Skyrim does many many things right. The level system is flexible, the dungeons design is great, the quests are fun, exploring the world of Skyrim is a joy, the scope of the game is epic and the atmosphere is magical. So will the game live up to the hype? I guess so.

pfff.. I was afraid of that. I am a combat addicted in games always playing as warrior. What a pity. What’s the problem with Bethesda, can’t they hire some damn guy who can build an enjoyable combat system? They always sucked at this chapter.

It is combat system that is lacking, it is the melee system. It does not matter to me. i never play warrior
Posted on November 4th, 2011 at 6:43 pm
Geez, only 10 hours? That’s like saying you played the first 5 minutes of [insert any great game here] and saying, “Well I guess it’s okay. I didn’t like [insert something that is different in every game] as much as [insert non-comparable game here] but everything else is fantastic. So will the game live up to the hype? I guess so.”
Dark Souls is “difficult”, Skyrim is fun.
Dark Souls is linear, you can do almost anything in Skyrim.
Dark Souls is relatively short, Skyrim is very long.
Dark Souls makes you pissed, Skyrim makes me happy.

I like the last comment, my sentiments exactly.

No one is ever satisfied with anything. I’m confident bethesda fans won’t be disappointed. Don’t expect to enjoy skyrim if you hated oblivion and fallout 3. Why would bethesda completely redo their combat system and animations if it was already enjoyable before? So far you’re the only person that’s posted a preview I’ve read that said combat was lackluster. I respect your decision but everyone should have a mind of their own and play the game for yourself before writing it off because some guy says the combat sucks.
Posted on November 4th, 2011 at 11:33 pm
it is going to be an amazing game. no matter what anyones saying. I ve seen combat gameplay and it seems pretty enjoyable
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 2:48 am
Wtf everywhere I look someone is saying somthing about dark souls being better than elderscrolls. I even rented the game to see wht the hype was all about and the only thing I can say is that dark souls suks sure it may be more difficult but to say that elderscrolls combat isn’t up to par is a load of bull I got so fed up with it that turned it off and started playin oblivion.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 4:58 am
Just because you aren’t satisfied with melee combat doesn’t mean other people won’t be. Honestly, that the fact that an enemy doesn’t react the way YOU think they when they get hit with a sword is ridiculous.
And on Dark Souls, I played Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls, and each game made me want to go back and play Oblivion much more than continue it, difficulty differences aside.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 7:35 am
darksouls is fun for like an hour, it gets boring… fast… same with demon souls… i kind a wish i could just skip to the boss fights as they were the only enjoyable parts of the game.
darksouls wasn’t fun, lets face it, its boring short of the boss fights it isn’t much more then a hack and slash that you die fast in.
Oblivion was fun. people complain about the combat way to much, its not that bad, you hit, you do damage i dont need to have the enemies arm cut off to have fun with it.
skyrim looks awsome, it will be GOTY if there is any sensible people left in the gaming world, though i guess their isnt since Batman got a f-in perfect score ( yea im sure there are 0 bugs and it took 200 hours to beat the game) and uncharted is considered a AAA title.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 8:55 am
I played dark souls for like an hour and it was absolute crap as far as im concerned their is no comparison to elder scrolls i played oblivion over and over quiet alot of times being that i could enjoy it on a regular basis go away come back and try a different character focus on other skills and play the game in different ways like as a full out warrior, spell caster or even a theif (my perfered title) and dark souls was way to linear and just didn’t catch my attention like oblivion did and now for sure that skyrim will when i can get my hands on it ill probably lose all sense of time and have no life when i can finally play skyrim
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 12:19 pm
Are you joking… you had ten hours with this game and barely wrote a page? What a great review! Oh wait…no.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 12:23 pm
hey guys,
This isn’t a review for the game, this is my first impression of the game. The things I criticized (stiff animation and melee combat) in my article will not change if I played the game more than 10 hours. This is my honest opinion. Anybody who can read and understand properly will know that I like the game too much. I have played the game for over 25 hours now, and I think fans of Elder Scrolls series will not be disappointed.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 12:37 pm
Whats all the fuss with comparing elder scrolls to dark souls they are completely different games, Dark Souls is very punishing but very rewarding however once you’re stuck thats it as theres no fast travel system and all enemies minus bosses respawn so you have to fight the same guys over and over and do die a hell of a lot. The elder scrolls however is epic fantasy where Bethesdas first concern has always been giving the player complete freedom to do what they like, a freedom that is not present in dark souls. Further more elder scrolls series has way more to do with side quests, (I pressume collectibles ala nirnroot) etc whereas all you can do in dark souls is fight and die no exploration or side quests etc. So why all the comparisons?
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 12:53 pm
@Justin
Stupid statement. There’s a difference between someones expectations on what collision detection during combat should feel like and the fact that there is NO weight behind the hits. Your weapon hits them and causes no reaction unless there is a critical hit, like in Oblivion. That isn’t his personal opinion, it is the facts based off what he has observed. Just watch any of the videos of Skyrim and you’ll see that it’s true.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 2:53 pm
seriously, just because you had more fun with magic doesnt mean you push it on others. its purely opinion and i personally think the melee combat looked like more fun than the magic. its just gonna make people mad and not buy the game because you had a different opinion than them.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 4:01 pm
I have been a fan of the Elder Scrolls series since Morrowind and I appreciate everything Bethesda did for the series and when I see the improvements I really thinkthat the series has come a long way. But even though I liked both games very much and I am pretty sure I’ll love Skyrim just as much, there were some things that Oblivion just coulnd’t get right. The main ones were hit detection and animation system. I think a perfect system for the game would be a procedural animation system with hit detection incorporated, somewhat like GTAIV and RDR. While Skyrim’s combat seems exciting I think it would be even better with these additions. Just my opinion.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 4:25 pm
I think comparing Dark Souls and The Elder Scrolls is pointless. It would be like comparing Mass Effect and CoD. Yes, they have similar aspects but one the point is that a comparison between two different games, which strive for different things, is a pointless and repetitive argument. I have not played Dark Souls (yet) but have read multiple reviews of the game, as I’ve done with Skyrim.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 4:46 pm
@andrew
“its just gonna make people mad and not buy the game because you had a different opinion than them.”
Wrong. Nobody who was planning to buy the game are going to change their minds based on this first impression.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 5:10 pm
I hope the combat isn’t as “good” as dark souls; like I want to be level 50 in a full set of dragon armor and get killed by 1 hit from a mudcrab that snuck up behind me everytime I blink mt eyes.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 5:17 pm
Dark Souls is just a random game. That’s all it is. Nothing more, nothing less, than just another random game. Hell, I never even heard of any game in its series until Dark Souls came out recently, and I am a huge RPG fan.
Just because this [pre]reviewer thought the animation was stiff, well it doesn’t mean anything. Elder Scrolls combat is a little stiff but it’s part of the realism. Hey, it’s not The Matrix after all! At least he admitted to being biased, and he said Elder Scrolls fans would love it. Thanks
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 6:21 pm
You played ten hours and said combat is more fun with magic? And that stuff looks good? No offense but not everyone wants to be a Mage, and uh … we know it looks good. If you’re going to make a review based on your impressions on a “10 hour hands on review” could you make it sound like you played 10 hours? Andrew Reiner played an hour and talked about:
- The Khajiit he created
- Some stuff about The Companions (Skyrim’s fighting Guild)
- A farm and his conversation with the lady that lived there
- Swimming and catching fish
- A lot of things you see people do in Whiterun and stuff about Whiterun itself
- Stealing a Horse
- Conversations with people like guards, farmers, musicians, etc.
- A house he was about to rob.
Max Scoville played for 3 hours and gave us even more info about:
- Character Customizations for some races
- The realistic Radiant Story
- Smithing
- Cooking
- The Bleak Falls Barrow quest
- A few glitches ( Hey, no game is perfect, especially betas)
- Getting trampled by a mammoth
- The effectiveness of riding a horse
Tons of other people gave great reviews. They ALL talked about the combat and scenery but instead of knocking it, they thought it was fluid and a great improvement.
Come on Ahmad Dajani, please give us more.

i dont care what anyone says about Skyrim or that other game that sounds realy s%*^y but i just saw a video on the first 15 minutes of the game and now im going even more crazy for Skyrim. I JUST WANT TO PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 8:38 pm
Sorry…If you get the game like a week+ ahead of time… you better write better and more detailed than like a 3rd/4th grade book report paper…
All that info everyone knew like 3-4 months+ ago…
“So as a fan of RPGs and the Elder Scrolls series”
response: looks like you just watched trailers…cause rest of article had no enthusiasm about it at all…
“The first half an hour of the game might give players a bad impression about the game for a couple of reasons. The animation during the scripted scene is stiff and I can’t say that I liked the art direction or the visuals.”
Response: Want to try and make a game…?
“the first time you see the world of Skyrim you will be amazed by how much Bethesda has improved the visuals over its predecessor.”
Response: LITERALLY, 2 sentences ago you said.. “I can’t say that I liked the art direction or the visuals.” make up your mind…
“But I’m a bit disappointed that if you are going to play purely melee you are not going to have as much fun as using magic.”
Response: pure bs…that’s all i have to say about this quote
“While the animation isn’t top notch and melee combat isn’t perfect, Skyrim does many many things right. The level system is flexible, the dungeons design is great, the quests are fun, exploring the world of Skyrim is a joy, the scope of the game is epic and the atmosphere is magical. So will the game live up to the hype? I guess so.”
Response: I don’t even know what to say to this…pretty bad journalism to be 100% honest…and as a conclusion… YOU GUESS ITS A GOOD GAME?! wtf is that supposed to mean..?
Bethesda give the game earlier to someone who actual finds enjoyment in playing your games… thanks

@J.T @everyone
First of all, thanks for the feedback. I can give you more details. But I wanted to keep spoilers as minimal as possible because I don’t want to ruin the game for anyone. All of the other details you mentioned from the other previews, I have already did it and more. I know about the companions guild, but telling you about this guild in more depth will ruin a very big surprise for you and for anyone who wants to play the game. The point of my preview is to give my general impression of the game. The funny thing is other gaming websites rarely criticize a big game in previews. I won’t do that. You have to say what you like in the game and what you don’t. No game is perfect. Also, I don’t know why people got the impression that I dislike the game. Honestly, I’m really enjoying the game. One more thing, I’m not comparing Skyrim to Dark Souls. Both games are so different from each other, but both games are RPGs and have free battle system. But that doesn’t change the fact that Dark Souls has the better melee combat.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 10:25 pm
To be honest, I’m not sure if the person who wrote this first impression really understood that because Skyrim is primarily an RPG, the animations in combat can’t really be all that dramatic. A lot of calculations go into the combat’s design. If they were to have the enemies just buckle under the weight of a mace or grab their arm in pain when sliced with a sword, it wouldn’t be an RPG- it’d be a straight-up action game with RPG elements. You’re lucky that Bethesda even found a way to make the combat more realistic to any degree without compromising the role-playing, mechanic-based style of gameplay.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 10:36 pm
@ Aidan,
Man, I know that Skyrim is primarily an RPG. I won’t bore you with how much I love RPGs and why this genre is my favorite. But if you tell me that if I hit an enemy with a powerful melee weapon and I feel like I’m hitting a rock is acceptable, I won’t agree with you. This will break the immersion. I can’t understand why besthesda didn’t do some simple animation reaction to my blows. I will give you one more example, I was dying to ride a horse in the game, but when I did (I stole it by the way), I made a decision that I will never ever ride a horse again in the game. Do you know why? Because the horse animation broke my immersion. Besthesda have created a beautiful world, but when the animation of the horse doesn’t look convincing, it breaks the player’s immersion.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 11:08 pm
I CANT WAIT FOR SKYRIM! I can see what you mean with the melee combat, when you hit an enemy it does seem dull, but its still awsome(because its skyrim:p).
BUt anyways what kind of character do you guys plan on making???
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 11:23 pm
@Ahmad:
I understand that you would prefer more immersive animations, but as I mentioned before, the RPG elements would suffer for it. Not to mention there are special animations in which you can brutally take down an enemy, plus according to many other people whom have played the game, the blows when hitting an enemy are really quite powerful.
Posted on November 5th, 2011 at 11:44 pm
ive been reading all of the post here, and I dont know why you guys are critisizing the man for his honesty. i would also like someone to explain to me how adding decent animation would cause the rpg elements to suffer. if any thing it would add to the elements. for example, i could hit him with my claymore, and when he stumbles back i could switch to my smaller weapon and flurrish the enemy.
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 12:42 am
Well I’m glad you’re enjoying the game, and I understand fully that you’re trying to tell us the good and the bad about this game, but in my opinion it just does not seem there is a lot of good. I have heard lots of reviews say they don’t want to spoil things, and I don’t mean to pressure you, but could you at least be a little more detailed? You could tell us what you thought of the Radiant Story or maybe an interesting quest you completed or maybe dragon encounters. As much as I hope you can you can give us more information, I’m glad you at least posted at all and I hope you enjoy your time with Skyrim.
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 2:06 am
I agree with Aidan, While the animations are not immersive, I dont need them for me to know that its a hard hit i look at the health bar of the enemy. Thats where my satisfaction comes from. I believe the enemies do stumble abit on critical hits which makes sense, but if your enemy staggers every single time you hit them your gonna have an undeniable edge in combat and vice versa, by that time their would be no point to combat since when your fighting 6 to 7 enemies at a time you will lose should you stagger every single time. We all understand riding a horse in Assassins Creed looks better, (random refrence) but Id rather have a horse than no horse. its as simple as that shadowmere (oblivion) fantastic horse loved having it. Animation suffered, i didnt care though because it was no longer just me on my adventure it was me and my horse. I felt more connected to the game. I Assume that i will be spending my days (and nights) stuck in the world of skyrim. (already took off 11/11/11 off from both my jobs for it.)
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 2:24 am
I don’t get the complants. Skyrim is going to be an epic game. And stop critizing the guy for saying what he thinks. Honestly, you guys should get that he dosnt want to rune the game and he’s just saying what he thinks. And about the comparison between darksouls and skyrim, there two total diffrent games.
—————————————————————————————————————-
on the day before skyrim comes out a shall go on oblivion and climb the tallest mountain. At 11:59 I will prepar to jump. At 11:59:59 I shall jump of of the cliff and be reborn into the world… …OF SKYRIM!!!
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 5:20 am
Even if the combat system is not the greatest I am still going to enjoy burrying my ax in the heads of my foes!!
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 5:57 am
I agree with some of the other readers’ responses in favor of Skyrim as a complete, diverse, interactive open world RPG game, instead of a standard fare, attractive but very linear shooter like Crysis. Mr. Dajani obviously does not play RPG’s very often (otherwise he would be talking about other RPG’s in his review, instead of shooters, which are his forte). He is missing the plot, characterization, realism in art direction, customization, and freedom of exploration possible via the totally non-linear nature of Skyrim and other Bethesda open world games. These are the real reasons Bethesda game fans will play Skyrim, instead of the other dozen odd current shooters out there.
And keep working on your English grammar and sentence structure, Mr. Dajani, you almost have it right. And is this site the right site for experienced gamers to get on target, informed game reviews? ….”I guess (not).”
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 6:46 am
@Bahwad Sandjobah,
Sorry, but your comment is stupid.
“Mr. Dajani obviously does not play RPG’s very often (otherwise he would be talking about other RPG’s in his review, instead of shooters, which are his forte).”
This is an article I wrote last year http://www.vgarabia.com/2010/02/09/top-10-best-rpgs-of-this-generation-so-far/
How in the hell I can write an article about the best RPGs of this generation while I don’t play them?
Also, I have mentioned Crysis because it’s one of the benchmarks when you talk about visuals technically.
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 7:04 am
I think the people who are accusing the previewer of being biased/putting the game down and sucking all the pre-release joys and excitements from the fans of Elder Scrolls… are utterly idiotic. This preview of course is biased, as any other (p)review on the face of the Earth. Opinions and thoughts cannot be unbiased in any way. This preview does its job well: conveying the general impressions about the game based on the hands-on time. Skyrim will be a very good game and I know I will enjoy it; but it will have flaws. I’m okay with that andI won’t go around telling people that it will be absolutely flawless and neither will I bash anyone who points out minor flaws or things that could have been better about the game. Form your own opinion about Skyrim, love the game, adore it but please do not fucking worship it and get defensive when someone says some tiny bad thing about it.
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 12:34 pm
Wait. You had TEN HOURS with the game and this is all you wrote?! Wtf.
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 3:40 pm
This is not a review this is just someone trying to get website hits. This is all info that can be found somewhere else. Dude if you gonna write a fake review make sure that you have info that no one else does. 10 hours really I for one call you a liar. All you did was reward hell some of it you didnt even reward from other sites. Seriously stop what you are doing because you are doing nothing but making a fool of yourself..So if you think this guys story is true just google anything in this article and see that its alllll been up for about a month…Way to fail…stupid.
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 5:32 pm
Oh before anyone starts I am not saying the game will be EPIC…All I am stating is that morons like this need to stop falsely putting things together and showing it to people.
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 5:41 pm
Guys stop saying he only did this for fame. To one person the combat in skyrim will be great no matter who plays it, but to another… …they would think it’s not so great(I love oblivions combat and will love skyrims) and guys he didn’t post alot becouse like you said it’s been posted before so give him a break. <_<
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 6:04 pm
then he shouldent have said HIS review if its all info that has been posted 1000′s of times
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 6:06 pm
Are you even a fan of skyrim. <_< guys just talk about skyrim and leave the guy alone.
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 6:10 pm
Im in love with the game. I wouldnet be mad at this guy if he hadnt lied. if he hated it he hated it. But to say that oh i spent 10 hours with it heres the info already on the web and its mine thats where i have a problem
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 6:14 pm
You have a point. Never mind just leave him alone. I am in love with elderscrolls. Playing oblivion right now.
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 6:22 pm
I’ve been playing oblivion non stop just 4 days and I can have some real fun
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 6:25 pm
Sorry, but your whole review is stupid, see other comments above.
Posted on November 6th, 2011 at 11:07 pm
To be fair ….this article is about comparing skyrim to the hype… Which (the hype) I think is pretty high. I suspect they deliberately made the beginning less impressive looking so that when you are finally exposed to the world it is that much better. Really looking forward to this game …..my oblivion game was 530 hours so I expect I won’t be seeing pooled for a while lol
Posted on November 7th, 2011 at 6:44 am
First, I have been drooling over Skyrim for months, so I am firmly in the pro-Skyrim camp. Secondly, I hate duplicitous reviews regardless of pro or con; they have wasted my money and set me up for disappointment time known in time and will justify or hang you. Haters lurk these blogs like scallywags in a seedy port-side tavern and are quick to deride in order to soothe their miserable souls. I see your point about hit reaction, and comparing the melee systems of these two games games(even though the roots of the game are divergent) is fair. Also, I did feel the wind in my sails dip a bit after reading this article: you might reconsider your balance/ ratio of your intent compared to your effect upon the reader. Ultimately, if you wish to be a critic wear dragon scaled armor, carry a broad shield and never let them see you sweat because the spears and arrows will be let loose. Critic must prepare to be criticized. Cheers to those of honest intent.
Posted on November 7th, 2011 at 7:32 am
Um… what is the point of claiming you played 10 hours of Skyrim if you are only going to write a few paragraphs? How did you snag this gig and what are your qualifications?
Posted on November 7th, 2011 at 6:30 pm
Why is everybody flaming this guy for his own opinion? So he thinks the melee combat isnt the best, so what it’s his opinion. Overall it sounds positive so if you dont want to hear bad news, dont read reviews. Not long now!
Posted on November 8th, 2011 at 6:09 am
yeah this guy is just trying to get hits on his website, nothing more. saying that you don’t want to spoil things is one thing, but including almost no details about your so called “10 hour play experience” is ridiculous. you sir, are not only a terrible writer, but also a terrible liar. also, i watched a video of the horse riding and it is no where near as atrocious as you make it out to be mr. troll. please leave the reviews to the well educated.
Posted on November 9th, 2011 at 8:36 am
Have to love how fanboys can’t accept faults being pointed out in a product. Even the recent trailers and videos such as that “world of skyrim” vid show these animation claims to have merit. The scenarios are gorgeously rendered, but once a character is introduced they’re blatantly out of place.
The voice levels dont seem to be balanced correctly and stand out like sore thumbs when characters speak. Repetitive, wooden animations like running or drawing a bow make the characters look like marionettes. In that world of skyrim vid, during the execution the wind-up with the axe looks incredibly stiff.
And even though they may seem small, little things like animations, weight, and feel have an enormous effect on the impact of melee combat. Dark Souls and Demons Souls, for their other faults, nails this with their melee system while TES games, when wielding dagger or claymore, have little distinction between how much of the health bar goes away in your spastic mouse clicking.
Recognize what this game does well but be willing to accept its faults. It’s a beautiful engine with great art design and mediocre animations. The acting isn’t great but serviceable, the mod community will no doubt once again be tremendous, and there will be an awfully pretty fallout 4 in the not too distant future.
Posted on November 9th, 2011 at 3:31 pm
I think the reason the combat was not interesting in the beginning for you was that most of the improvements for combat are perks that you gain later on in the game kind of like in oblivion if you were a novice at combat it was going to be boring but when you got unique attacking strategies like disarming and knocking back with blade or the auto shield bash (my favorite) gameplay becomes so much fun and makes you feel like a powerful warrior.
Posted on November 10th, 2011 at 5:58 am
“Will the game live up to its hype?”
Well Mr. RPGer, with Game Ranking scores of roughly 94%, 95% and 96%, I think we can put that question to rest, with a ‘yes’ instead of an “I guess so”….
Maybe that question was a bit “stupid” itself, eh?
