Dragon Age 2 first review is in

The first review for the hotly anticipated RPG “Dragon Age 2″ is out. The first review for the game come from PC Gamer UK magazine. The magazine gave Bioware’s upcoming RPG a very high score (94/100):

“The best RPG combat ever. Not gaming’s best story, but maybe its best storytelling. Darker, sexier, better. [Mar 2011, p.88]”

Dragon Age II centers around the main character named Hawke, known to be a survivor of the Blight and the Champion of Kirkwall, who rises to power throughout the story. In the format of a framed story, the tale is told by one of Hawke’s companions Varric to Cassandra, a Chantry Seeker, which spans over a decade throughout the game and the player writes the history that will change the world forever. Dragon Age 2 is set to be released on March 8, 2011 in North America and March 11, 2011 for Xbox360, PS3 and PC.

The demo for the highly anticipated sequel to one of the best RPG of this generation “Dragon Age 2″ is now available for download. The demo size is quite large with 1.98 GB to download.

Dragon Age 2 is set to be released on March 8, 2011 in North America and March 11, 2011 for Xbox360, PS3 and PC.

Bioware’s next epic RPG, Mass Effect 2 is slated for release on Jan 26, 2010 in North America and January 29 for Europe. The game will be released on Xbox 360 and PC. Here’s the final box art for the game:

Mass Effect 2 is an upcoming action role-playing video game under development by BioWare, and set to be published by Electronic Arts. The game is the sequel to Mass Effect, on Microsoft Windows and the Xbox 360.

BioWare has revealed that Mass Effect 2 will be shipping Jan 26, 2010 in North America and January 29 for Europe. Also, they have announced pre-order bonuses (exclusive in-game items), here are the details:

Terminus Assault Armor and the Blackstorm Heavy Weapon:

In North America, pre-order bonusesinclude special-ops armor and weaponry that are designed to boost Commander Shepard’s skills and abilities. At GameStop, Terminus Gear is available with pre-orders, which includes the powerful Terminus Assault Armor and the Blackstorm Heavy Weapon:

The Terminus Armor is designed for use in extreme planetary conditions, increasing run speed and personal shields, and augmenting weapons with an additional magazine of reserve ammo.

The M-90 Blackstorm Heavy Weapon generates a high-powered localized gravity well, accelerating particles to near-infinite mass, and ultimately expanding the selection of heavy weapons available to players when they gear up for combat missions in Mass Effect 2.

Inferno Armor:

Inferno ArmorPlayers that pre-order Mass Effect 2 at other retail outlets in North America will receive the potent Inferno Armor, which is used by officers to monitor battlefield conditions by recognizing elevated heart rates, and regulates sub-systems with extreme efficiency to allow for greater response times – together these abilities translate in-game into a negotiation bonus for Commander Shepard and an increase in run speed and augmented damage from combat powers.

BioWare is still deciding which armor goes to the PC version and which to the Xbox 360 version.

Mass effect 2 demo is overheating Xboxes

According to the last update from Bioware on twitter, the demo of Mass Effect 2 is overheating the system:

“Danger Will Robinson! Xboxes in ME2 demo overheating. We’re stalled as we fix”

I think they are talking about GamesCom demo. I Hope the final game won’t have such problems.
