PS3 owners has been enjoying a lot of good exclusives this year, from the technically impressive Killzone 2 to the jaw dropping Uncharted 2. But to tell you the truth, 2010 is looking to be even more exciting for PS3 owners.

All of the games in this list are system sellers that will definitely help Sony in selling more consoles and maybe closing the sales gap between the PS3 and the Xbox 360. Here, we present to you our 5 most anticipated PS3 exclusives that will come in 2010:

5. MAG:

MAG is an upcoming MMO shooter for the PlayStation 3 in development by Zipper Interactive. The game will support online battles with up to 256 players, with users divided into 8-player squads, with 4 squads forming a platoon, and 4 platoons forming a company. Each squad will be led by a player who has advanced through the game’s ranking system.

Players will be able to customize the face, voice, and armor of their characters, as well as what weapons and kit they carry into battle. If the game servers managed to be stable during gameplay, MAG will take FPS multiplayer to the next level.

4. Heavy Rain:

Heavy Rain is an upcoming PlayStation 3 videogame being developed by French studio, Quantic Dream. The game is being directed by Quantic Dream’s founder and CEO David Cage, who also wrote and directed the studio’s two previous games, Omikron: The Nomad Soul and Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy).

Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) was one of my most favorites games from last generation, and Heavy Rain looks to be the most ambitious game from David Cage. David Cage has promised a story that’s unique and different from what we have used to see in videogames. In an interview with Dutch magazine in 2008, the veteran developer said ” Heavy Rain is about normal people who have landed in extraordinary situations. I wanted a much more personal story. The first thing that came to my mind, as a father of two little boys, was that the main theme should simply be a father’s love for his son. This is not a game about saving the princess or the world. Its purely about a father’s love”.

Graphically, the game looks superb with some of the best character models in the business. But what is teasing me the most to play this game is the storyline narrative.

3. The Last Guardian:

The Last Guardian is an upcoming videogame developed by Team Ico, the developers behind two of the most creative games ever made, Ico and Shadow of The Colossus.

the game follows the story of a boy and a giant feathered creature, which will revolve around the developing friendship between them. The creation of The Last Guardian was partially based on the interaction between the player and the horse Agro in Shadow of the Colossus. Ueda desired to make this interaction and relation more of the central concept in The Last Guardian.

The game will contain epic soundtrack, action adventure and puzzle elements, extraordinary world, and an experience like no other.

2. Gran Turismo 5:

GT 5 is to be the fifth edition of the highly acclaimed Gran Turismo racing video game series, scheduled for release in March 2010. The game is set to feature over 950 cars and 20 track locations, with variations bringing the number of unique circuits to 70. Also, GT5 will be the first game in the franchise’s history to include both mechanical and external damage modeling, with force and speed of impact directly influencing the damage applied to the vehicle, affecting both performance and body parts of the car.

The game was first revealed at E3 2006, and since that time, Polyphony Digital the developers of the game has been working hard to make the game as perfect as possible. This game will sell millions of copies and it will help boosting the sales of the PS3 in a monstrous way.

1. God of War 3:

God of War III is a forthcoming installment in the God of War series. If you still hadn’t played the previous games in the series, shame on you. If you are considering yourself a gamer, then you must check them out. Especially after Sony has announced the upcoming release of the God of War Collection Pack, which contains the first two games in the series packed into one blue-Ray disc.

The game will be the end of the God of War trilogy. So for anybody who wants to see how this epic saga will ends, he must play this game. Gameplay looks so much similar to what we have seen from the series, but the developers of the game has been promising a couple of new twists regarding the gameplay.

Will Kratos get his revenge? Who will win the war, the Gods of Olympus or the Titans? We will find answers to these questions when the game launch in March, 2010.

So, these are our 5 most anticipated PS3 exclusives in 2010, but feel free to share with us yours most anticipated in the comment section.

2009 wasn’t the best year for Xbox 360 owners. The quantity and the quality of the Xbox 360 exclusives in 2009 weren’t like what we have had seen in the past few years. But all of that could change next year; as 2010 is shaping up to be a good year for Xbox 360 owners.

The best Xbox 360 exclusive this year (until now) is Halo 3: ODST, but still there are good amount of exclusives coming for the Xbox 360 this year such as Forza 3 and L4D 2.

Microsoft might announce more exclusives in the upcoming months for Xbox 360. But here, I will not talk about unannounced or rumored games, instead of that I will list the games that are guaranteed or most likely to hit in 2010. Here we go:

5. Crackdown 2:

Crackdown 2 is a sandbox-style third-person shooter video game developed by Ruffian Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios.

The game is modelled similarly to its predecessor Crackdown, a third-person shooter in open world gameplay. The player character is a super-human officer for the city-funded “Agency”, known simply as the “Agent”. This time around, increased levels of customization for the character are allowed, unlike the presets offered before. The game set in Pacific City, which has become infested with urban-gang warfare, assisting the Agency in the battle for Pacific City against numerous crime lords who control the city. The game will offer seamless co-operative play in the main game, but will now support up to four players. The game will also feature competitive multiplayer modes for up to sixteen players.

4. Halo Reach:

Halo 3: ODST campaign mode is one of the best (if not the best) in the series, but there was one thing that had lessened the player immersion in the game: the graphics. Don’t get me wrong, but the graphics in ODST isn’t up to today standards. I’m really excited to see the new engine, Bungie, are going to use in Halo: Reach.

The open multiplayer beta included in ODST will give us an indication for what the game will offer. Also, the game could be the final Halo game from Bungie, so I think they will try their best to make the game the best one yet.

3. Splinter Cell: Conviction:

Conviction was one of the games that I was looking for in 2009, but sadly the game pushed back to February, 2010.

The game starts Sam Fisher, who’s in for a personal mission this time around. He’s going after the guy who killed his daughter and he will not stop until he get his revenge. The game contains some new gameplay mechanics like the ‘Mark and Execute’ where the player could kill enemies in a very cinematic way. This feature will add some strategic gameplay; as you must choose the perfect time to benefit from this technique. Conviction could be the best one in the series, and I can’t wait to play the full game.

2. Mass Effect 2:

Mass Effect 2 takes place two years after the conclusion of Mass Effect. With the Reaper invasion stopped and Saren and the geth defeated, Commander Shepard learns that entire human colonies are mysteriously vanishing.

Teaming up with the human supremacist organization Cerberus in the investigation, Shepard will also journey across the galaxy to recruit “up to a dozen of the galaxy’s most dangerous operatives” to face this new threat.

The game seems to be improved in every aspect from the original; the graphics are looking more polished with no texture pop-up/pop-in, the shooting mechanics looks to be more fun, and the emphasis on moral choices is heavier than the original. Also, you will be able to carry your save files from the original Mass Effect, which is a big plus for me.

Mass Effect 2 will be one big epic space opera that no RPG fan could live without. will Shepard and his companions save the colony? Will Shepard survive this suicide mission? that’s why we need this game badly.

1. Alan Wake:

Alan Wake is a “psychological action thriller”. that’s how Remedy’s writer, Sam Lake, always prefers to call his next mega game.

Alan Wake, a bestselling writer, hasn’t managed to write anything in over two years. Now his wife, Alice, brings him to the idyllic small town of Bright Falls to recover his creative flow. But when she vanishes without a trace, Wake finds himself trapped in a nightmare. Word by word, his latest work, a thriller he can’t even remember writing, is coming true before his eyes.

The game has been in development for a long time, and gamers has been talking about this game forever. If the game managed to achieve the psychological thriller part, then I will be more than satisfied. Sam Lake has been promising Alan Wake players with smart story and strong atmosphere, and from what we have seen from his past efforts (Max Payne series), he seems to be more than capable of keeping his promises.

In an article on N4g, SMGamers.com published an article about how some of the gaming media are bashing PS3 exclusives by bringing them down through mentioning sales figures for those games and comparing them with very popular Xbox 360 exclusives such as Halo 3 and Gears. The author of the article even mentioned our article ‘Will Uncharted 2 be the first PS3 exclusive to sell 5 million copies?’ as a bashing material for Uncharted 2, which is absolutely wrong. While his article does have some good points, the author bashed a couple of gaming website including ours just for hits. I will explain why by replying to one of the quotes from his article:

‘By all accounts, Uncharted 2 is a masterpiece.

So it’s time to cue the journalistic hate.

If certain sites can’t bash Uncharted 2 for what it accomplishes as a game, they’ll go after sales.’

You are saying that Uncharted 2 is a masterpiece? I said before in an article that Uncharted 2 will be hands down GOTY 09. Can you tell me how this is bashing Uncharted 2? If you are calling this bashing, then I agree with you.

If you are saying that I’m bashing Uncharted using sales numbers, for the second time you are wrong, I said in my article that the original game had sold 2.55M copies worldwide, which is a very respectful number for a new IP. I will explain one more time how Uncharted 2 will easily surpass the sales of the original game and maybe hit the 5 million mark; first of all, Uncharted 2 is more recognized than the original game was. Secondly, the original game had sold 2.55M when PS3 price tag was much higher than now, so with the help of PS3 slim (299$) and maybe the rumored Uncharted 2 bundle (250GB PlayStation 3 slim) the game will sell like hot cakes. Thirdly, the multiplayer portion of the game will give it longevity, which was missing in the original game. Last but not least, the PS3 user base exceeded 24 million owners and still increasing, which will make the possibility of purchasing Uncharted 2 higher.

I know that sales doesn’t always mean quality. Also, I know that some gamers don’t care about sales, but it’s very important for the game developers/publishers. If a certain game doesn’t sell well, the developers of the game will not think about making sequel for that game in the future or they could sacrifice quality because of lack of funding, which isn’t good for us, gamers. Is my message clear?

Microsoft has been doing a very good job this generation, from the superb XBL and it features to the huge list of exclusives. Here, instead of mentioning highly praised exclusives such as Halo 3, Fable 2, or Gears of War 1&2, am going to mention a list of five exclusives on Xbox360 that were ignored by the public or weren’t praised enough by the critics.

Sometimes you can blame the publishers for chosen a bad release date, as they insist on releasing their games in the same time frame with higher profile games. Marketing the game also play a huge role for whether the game will be successful or not.

Regardless, I think that if the game got a lot of things right, it deserves to have good scores and to make a good profit by selling a good amount of copies.

Now lets get this list rolling:

1. Ninja Gaiden 2:

Ninja Gaiden 2 is the follow up to the critically and financially successful prequel, Ninja Gaiden.

Ninja Gaiden2 contains eight different weapons, every single weapon has its own moves, its own brutal obliteration techniques and its own ultimate techniques. Throw in the mix some great spell moves (ninpo) and you will get the best battle system ever created in a hack and slash game.

The camera isn’t perfect and the graphics isn’t the huge jump from the original game, but who really cares when the game is so much fun to play?

I have finished the game four times, also I have replayed some stages for the fun of it and I still don’t feel bored from the game.

If all that isn’t good enough for you, Ryu Hayabusa is the deadliest character in video games history.

2. Lost Odyssey:

Lost Odyssey is turn-based JRPG from the creator of the Final Fantasy series, Hironobi Sakaguchi.

While the turn-based mechanic is moving away some gamers, Lost Odyssey battle system was created with a lot of love and care for the fans of the turn-based RPG. The game composer Nobuo Umatsu also created one of the most memorable soundtracks in a JRPG, add to this an emotional story that will make you shed some tears and you will get the best JRPG this generation.

The game looks good and it has a lot of great visual touches. While there was a lot of talk about some slowdown and long loading times in the game, I can tell you with confidence that these problems don’t ruin the game and these problems can be solved by installing the game on the HDD.

If you are a fan of JRPGs, do yourself a favor by purchasing this game.

3. Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts:

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is an action and platform game from the highly creative developers Rare. The game departed from the traditional platforming gameplay that was featured in the series by implementing an innovative create your own vehicle system.

the art design in the game is amazing, also the music is catchy and memorable. Add to this some of the best level design in the business. After hearing all of this good points about the game, you must ask yourself, why am still reading this article instead of going to the nearest store to buy the game?

4.Tales of Vesperia:

Tales of Vesperia is the tenth mothership title in the Tales series. It was developed by Namco Tales Studio and published by Namco Bandai Games for the Xbox360.

The characters in Tales of Vesperia are great especially Yuri, who will surprise you with his unique personality. The free-roaming battle system in Tales of Vesperia is so much fun to play with each character have its own moves and style.

The visual style is magnificent with striking color palette and the game world is rich with details and unique characters. The game will last more than 40 hours, which is a good value for your money.

What could you ask more from a JRPG?

5. Crackdown:

Crackdown is an open world, third-person shooter video game for theXbox360. The game was developed by Realtime Worlds, and distributed by Microsoft Game Studios. It was conceived by Realtime Worlds founder, David Jones, who also created Grand Theft Auto. The player controls a cybernetically-enhanced Agent, tasked with defeating three crime lords and their organized crime syndicates. The upgrading system in the game is addictive for an open world game and it was the first open world game to feature an online co-op play. A lot of gamers purchased the game for the Halo3 beta code, but there were some gamers who enjoyed Crackdown and it features more than Halo3 beta.

Sadly, cell-shaded visual style moved some gamers away from the game. Should every game must have a realistic 3D look? No, absolutely not.

I hope gamers will appreciate the upcoming sequel.
