According to one of the reviewers, up until the mid-way point of the game, the story seemed be linear and that it didn’t offer any new “gimmicks” in its story telling. Though, all of the reviewers have praised the game’s well done cut scenes and strategic combat system.

Let me tell you something very important about this game, Bayonetta is the latest invention from Hideki Kamiya, the director of the original Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe and the highly acclaimed Okami. Also, he was the planner of the original Resident Evil and director of Resident Evil 2. As you can see from this brief history lesson about Kamiya, the man is a very talented and experienced game developer. As a matter of fact, Hideki Kamiya is one of the best in the industry.
 

There are some differences between how Famitsu and western reviewers judge the game quality. As there are a lot of games that received high marks from Famitsu, but at the same time, they had received a lot of mediocre reviews from western gaming websites and vis versa.
 

There are a lot of gamers who are questioning the reliability of Famitsu scoring system, But when you consider Hideki Kamiya latest game, Okami, which had managed to get a near perfect score from Famitsu (39/40) and 93% average on Metacritic, you should not take Bayonetta perfect score comically.

In 2008 Kamiya has told EGM that he wants to “make a game that exceeds God of War’s sequel”.
 

“Out of all those action titles, there’s one game that I am paying really close attention to, that I think is a rival game, a good game, which is called God of War 3″. Believe me, Kamiya will not be satisfied this time around by just making a great game, he wants to create a game that’s redefine the genre and to go head to head with the upcoming mega hit God of War 3. As a matter of fact, I expect nothing less from the man.
 
 

I have played the Japanese demo for the game, and what I can say with full trust is that the game will be a masterpiece and it could be the game that finally beats Ninja Gaiden battle system. I hope Sega to take the opportunity in giving the game a good advertisement campaign, as it’s the right time for Kamiya games to shine and to sell millions of copies.
 

This week brought with it a historic event in Famitsu magazine history, Monster Hunter 3 is the star of this event where the game become the 11th game that got a perfect score (40 \ 40) .
