According to one of the reviewers, up until the mid-way point of the game, the story seemed be linear and that it didn’t offer any new “gimmicks” in its story telling. Though, all of the reviewers have praised the game’s well done cut scenes and strategic combat system.

Although the game hasn’t got a perfect score from Famitsu, I think that the game will be fantastic. For comparison’s sake, here’s how Famitsu has scored other Final Fantasy games:

Final Fantasy I – 35
Final Fantasy II – 35
Final Fantasy III – 36
Final Fantasy IV – 36
Final Fantasy V – 34
Final Fantasy VI – 37
Final Fantasy VII – 38
Final Fantasy VIII – 37
Final Fantasy IX – 38
Final Fantasy X – 39
Final Fantasy XI – 38
Final Fantasy XII- 40
Final Fantasy XIII – 39

For who don’t know who is Nobuo Uematsu, he is one of the best videogames composers ever. He is best known for scoring the majority of titles in the Final Fantasy series. He is regarded as one of the most famous and respected composers in the Japanese video game community.

Hironobu Sakaguchi is a Japanese game designer, game director and game producer. He is famous around the world as the creator of the Final Fantasy series, and lately for his work in Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.

Since the day Gooch left Square and nobuo no longer involved in FF games, the FF games has lost a lot of its identity. While FF12 was a good game, in my opinion it is the worst FF game after FF X-2.

Nobuo Uematsu and Gooch is the perfect team when it comes in creating an epic JRPG. I Loved Nobuo Uematsu work in Blue dragon (even if the game story wasn’t that good) but I adore Lost Odyssey, as I think what he has done in lost odyssey soundtrack is truly amazing; in my opinion one of his best works.

While I was browsing the net, I visited mistwalker web site to see if there is any news regarding theirs next game. I always love to read Gooch column, his latest post is called “My Favorite” he is talking about how he is fortunate for doing what he love to do, which is making videogames.

In the mean time he discuss how his troubles may affect the production of the game, may be we will have another emotional experience like what we have seen before in Lost Odyssey.

When you read his post, you will see some pictures of the people who are involved in Mistwalker next game. One of those people is the legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu.

Epic story and amazing soundtrack is guaranteed here. But how about the gameplay? we will have to wait to know the game details. Maybe in TGS 2009? I hope so.
